The nursing school building provides a functional and comfortable setting for nursing education. The entire building is designed to meet the needs of the handicapped and is completely accessible. Priority usage for the building is nursing education, student and professional organization meetings, and conferences.

The building houses: classrooms; conference rooms and auditoriums; offices for faculty, administration, and staff; technology and research laboratories, and student and faculty lounge areas. Office space is provided for the Nursing Student Council, MU Student Nurses' Association, Nurses Christian Fellowship and the Alpha Iota Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau.

Clinical Simulation Learning Center

The MU Sinclair School of Nursing maintains an eight-bed technology laboratory (S351) for students. Laboratory hours (day and evening) vary and are posted on the bulletin board outside the laboratory. Students may sign out equipment (e.g., sphygmomanometer) for use with clients as part of class assignments. The laboratory is staffed by skilled, experienced professional nurses who can offer suggestions for learning activities.

Media lab

The media resources laboratory on first floor of J. Otto Lottes Health Sciences Library houses study carrels, computers, and audiovisual materials. This laboratory is open to nursing students during library hours.

Computer facilities

Computers are available for student use in the J. Otto Lottes Health Sciences Library and at several student computing labs throughout campus. Schedules and locations of computer labs are available from the Division of Information Technology (DoIT), 615 Locust St., 573-771-7483.
