CPR certification
All graduate and undergraduate students must be certified every two years to meet the requirements of the clinical agency agreements. CPR training must be Health Care Provider training (infant, child, and adult) through the American Heart Association or the For the Professional Rescuer from the Red Cross.
Master's students must submit a copy of their CPR certification to CertifiedBackground.com
All undergraduate students must be currently certified to meet the requirements of the clinical agency agreements. Students admitted to the clinical major will be trained and certified, for a small fee, in child and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation in N3270 Foundations for Nursing in Health and Illness, which is the first clinical course. The student may choose to provide the School of Nursing with proof of appropriate training if they are already certified or wish to certify elsewhere. Students must maintain certification throughout the clinical major. Failure to maintain current certification will prevent the student from attending clinicals.
