Bio/professional experience

Bonnie Wakefield was appointed Associate Research Professor for the Sinclair School of Nursing in the fall of 2005. She holds a PhD and MA from the University of Iowa College of Nursing. She also serves as director of health services research and development at Truman Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in Columbia. Her work experience includes 22 years at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, Iowa. Her most recent position at the VA in Iowa City was Associate Chief, Nursing Research.
