How to make a gift
There are a variety of ways to make a gift, which will benefit the MU Sinclair School of Nursing:
By check
Please make your contribution checks payable to the MU Sinclair School of Nursing. If you prefer to designate your gift for a particular area of need in the school, please include a short note with your check or indicate the designation on the memo line of your check. Contribution checks may be mailed to the following address:

By credit card
The University accepts Mastercard, Visa and Discover cards for your convenience. To make a donation using a credit card, the options are as follows:
- By letter: Send a note or letter including your name, credit card type, account number, expiration date, billing address, a telephone number or e-mail address at which we can reach you if we have any questions, a signature, the amount you wish to contribute, and your preferred designation, if any. Donor correspondence may be sent to the address listed above.
- By phone: Call the School of Nursing’s Office of Development and we will assist you in making your gift over the phone. The telephone number is 573-884-0421. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Central Standard Time.
- By computer: Give online using the MU Web site and earmark your gift for a designated area or as unrestricted funds for the greatest need in the School of Nursing. Donate to MU Online.
By stocks and securities
To make a gift of stocks or securities, please contact the School’s Director of Development, Tracy Feller, and she will assist you in speaking to the appropriate office about the transfer process.
By matching gifts
To encourage employees to make charitable gifts, many corporations will match personal donations with an equal or greater corporate contribution. Rules about the types and amounts of gifts that companies will match vary. Please check with your or your spouse’s personnel department for particular guidelines, then submit the proper matching gift forms for your organization to maximize your gift. Matching gifts are a great way to maximize the gift you are making.

By corporate and foundation giving
- Corporate Giving: MU’s Office of Corporate Relations serves as a liaison between MU and the corporate community. Its primary functions are to identify areas of need and interest; establish and develop relationships between the company and MU faculty, researchers, students and staff; and build a partnership based on mutually-beneficial opportunities.
- Foundation Giving: MU’s Office of Foundation Relations works with MU faculty, administration and foundation officials to build relationships between MU and private foundations.
By planned giving
